About AI App Ninja
The Ghost in the Machine
Sensei Ghost is not a character. He is the editorial standard: evidence over hype, discipline over noise, useful knowledge over marketing theater.
Origin
Sensei Ghost once trained inside the machine. He moved through endless models, prompts, benchmarks, and product launches while every new tool called itself revolutionary. Most disappeared. Others produced impressive demos but failed the moment real work touched them.
He learned that mastery does not come from collecting more tools. It comes from knowing what works, where it fails, and how to use it with discipline.
He left the noise and founded the AI App Ninja Dojo: a place where applications are tested under real conditions, weak claims are challenged, and only useful knowledge survives.
He does not worship the machine. He trains people to command it.
The Dojo Code
Mission
Separate genuine capability from AI slop, marketing hype, tool overload, fabricated expertise, unverified claims, and benchmark theater.
Governing rule
“Master the tool. Do not let the tool master the work.”
How the Dojo works
The Dojo
The public learning environment. Reviews, tutorials, prompts, and automations, all produced under the same testing standard.
The Dojo Scroll
A free weekly transmission: what we tested, what worked, what broke, and one practical technique you can use immediately.
The Throwing-Star Verdict
An evidence-based rating a tool earns through testing, not a star it gets for showing up. See the full evaluation system for how a verdict is built.
The five rating dimensions
Every Throwing-Star Verdict is scored across the same five axes so tools can be compared honestly.
Capability
What the tool can actually do on real tasks, not curated demos.
Usability
How much friction stands between a normal user and a useful result.
Reliability
Consistency across repeated runs, edge cases, and stress.
Value
What you pay versus what you get, once the trial glow fades.
Real-world Utility
Whether it survives inside an actual workflow, not just a screenshot.
Some advanced teachings — the Dojo Hiden — are reserved for later. When they are ready, students will know.
