ChatGPT

OpenAI's flagship assistant — and the AI most people meet first.

Everything we publish on ChatGPT: prompt patterns, model picks (4o vs o-series), custom GPTs, and real workflows you can copy.

ChatGPT is the fastest way to see what modern AI can do — and the fastest way to hit its edges if you don't know how to prompt it. This hub is where we put the working parts: the model picks that actually matter, the prompt patterns we keep reusing, and the small workflows that turn ChatGPT from a chat toy into a daily tool.

You'll find hands-on posts on model choice (when 4o beats o-series and vice versa), Custom GPTs that hold up outside the demo, memory and Projects, file and image workflows, and the honest limits — what still needs a human, what breaks on long inputs, and where a different model does the job better.

If you're new, start with our prompt guide. If you already use ChatGPT daily, jump to the workflows and tool comparisons — the goal is the same either way: fewer tabs, cleaner outputs, real time saved.

Frequently asked about ChatGPT

Which ChatGPT model should I use?

For everyday chat, drafting, and multimodal work, GPT-4o is the default. For hard reasoning, long math, or code you'll actually ship, switch to an o-series model. If speed and cost matter more than depth, mini variants are usually enough.

Is the free version of ChatGPT enough?

For occasional use, yes. If you're using ChatGPT most days, or you need image generation, file uploads without limits, and access to the strongest models, the paid plan pays for itself quickly. We only recommend upgrading once you feel the free limits.

Custom GPTs vs Projects vs plain chats — what should I use?

Plain chats for one-offs. Projects when you want persistent context and files across a workstream. Custom GPTs when you want a reusable, shareable assistant with a fixed instruction set — especially useful for repeated workflows across a team.

How is ChatGPT different from Claude and Gemini?

ChatGPT has the broadest tool ecosystem, the strongest general-purpose chat, and the best image generation. Claude is stronger on long-context writing and code review. Gemini is strongest inside Google Workspace and with grounded search. We keep side-by-side comparisons updated.
